KBIS Trends for 2015!

Braam's went to the KBIS Annual conference last month in Las Vegas to see what's new in the Kitchen and Bath Industry for 2015!

The trends we see recurring are quartz countertops and polished chrome hardware.  White is still the favourite cabinet colour with grey expected to take the lead this year! There is also a push towards more contemporary designs and keeping an open concept.
Multifunctional living is important in this space-saving age; so we're also seeing a lot of clients who are ditching their dining rooms altogether, making the kitchen the centre of home for entertaining!  In the bath, we're seeing trends in floating cabinets and open shelves (which parrots the contemporary look).  Will you be incorporating some of these trends in your 2015 renovations??

NAHB Reveals Most Popular Features Found in New Homes


The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has shared the most popular features in new single-family homes in 2014 as builders from across the country were surveyed on what features they were most likely to include in a typical single-family home this year. 

The survey revealed that convenience, livability and energy efficiency are top priorities for home owners.  Builders also listed features such as granite countertops, a double sink and a central island as winning elements in new-home kitchen.
